They can actually sting repeatedly i should now i once had a wasp nest above my place and thought at worst ill get stung once or teice because the nest was still real small boy was i wrong i got stung a lot by just like three that survived my intial broom smack.
Normally, the stinger of a wasp was used to attack large creatures. After the stinger was inserted into the enemy's flesh and injected with poison, the stinger would be pulled out along with the wasp's heart.
