guess writer changed the age factor in HP, the 'canon' old age is 150 it was stated by J.K. Rowling and is used by others(people calculate old aged wizards and get 140-150), look at Dumbledore he died just before 116 years and could live for 30 more years or so. but I guess you could use the new mage in the world to explain it now.
remember that inn in the prisoner of Azkaban, that guy drinking tea was using wandless magic to stir his drink, or the cleaning lady using wandless magic to put all the chairs on the table. it's shown in the movies simple things can be done wandlessly like moving things but to cast spells wandlessly takes a real master.
