No, she blatantly lies to his face about her affections towards him. The story is predominantly told from his perspective rather than reality. She has deliberately manipulated him with conditioning and is purely interested in his design philosophy rather than being considerate or caring, let alone, loving to him as an individual. All she cares about is how he can elevate her to prominence hence why she demands to have the gems vs putting in the necessary work to improve. She throws fits and threatens him to make miracles happen and reveals his secrets to “save the relationship” but all she saved was her own interests. Not his life or well being but her own selfish interests. Sure, Ves has used her for her knack for fixing issues. However, she has used him for his entire bag of tricks, his philosophy, and has even manipulated him to consume him.

Exlor, this is disgusting and dumb. Unless you kill Gloriana off none of this makes sense. If she compromises his most vital secrets and calabast doesn’t outright end her I’ll be disappointed. This nonsense must end because ves is just becoming more of a desperate lap dog to her.

She is doing this to figure out more of his secrets under the guise of a disgruntled girlfriend. She only cares about her own advancement and ves is being a figurative and literal tool for not realizing it.

Ves, the only reason the Devil Tiger was a masterwork was because you put a gem in it that upped its stats by nearly 50% if I’m not mistaken. I’d say your mood had little to do with it. I’m probably wrong but I feel like 99% of the reason is due to the gem.
This was also the reason why Ves pursued an unusual strategy. The only way for him to realistically make a masterwork mech was to rely on one of his strange but exceptionally potent moods that always seemed to supercharge his fabrication run. - Adam_Kelsheimer1mthCommented
