The story starts off promisingly enough, even if tropey. Liam reincarnates back in his previous self, is now trying to live a better life in the pre and post apocalypse. Original take on the video game world being the precursor to the real world’s apocalypse The main issues with the plot are the usual suspects. MC is the only one who is competent, everyone around him is sometimes seen as competent, but is immediately shown to, in no way, compare to his omnipotent might. Amazingly beautiful women fall in love with him for the usual “brooding knight on a white horse” cliches. Or for no reason at all. Honestly speaking, though, most of the above things aren’t too bad, pretty similar to your run of the mill Wuxia story. My main problem with the story comes from the fact that Liam pretty consistently does some seriously stupid crap. He realizes he needs to take care of a quest to keep a pissed demigod off his back. His immediate reaction is “meh, I’ll just keep leveling instead.” He gets an easily completeable quest, doesn’t do it. He knows something will go wrong for him, walks into it anyways. I’m totally fine with an imperfect MC. Heck, let them be stupid. I’m looking at you Anthony, Ainz Ooal Gown, Kumoko, etc. Just don’t advertise them as a genius for it. The setup of expectations is betrayed when he’s supposed to be so great and just… isn’t.

Unfortunately, it's hard for me to get time to write a lot right now, since I'm taking an online class to get certified for my new job, and I have a family that I love to spend time with.
