    is this even a question

"Kneazles will make quick work o' a Niffler, fer example," Professor Hagrid explained, giving her a knowing wink. "The scent o' any predator, or the smell o' toxic gas will do. It's not tha' uncommon, it happened ter the class right before yers, the Nifflers wouldn't get near one o' the Hufflepuffs."

being an immortal tree sounds nice actually

Viviane fell silent, leaving it to Oleandra to imagine what could have possibly happened to the nameless progenitor of the Greengrass family. Had she been assassinated? Had she simply given up on life after living for countless seasons? Or had she turned herself into a tree, tired of the eternal conflicts of humans?

Never mind my comment earlier then. If I were her, I'd definitely take that bloodline potion

Despite Greater Fairies possessing the miracle of the vertical space-time axis, granting them the knowledge of their past lives, each incarnation of the same Fairy was an individual in their own right. This was why Oleandra had instinctively never been worried of having her body stolen by a past incarnation.

    to me at least

"Then, what do you think would happen to Daphne if she remained stuck as a teenager for a hundred years?" Viviane continued. "Or a thousand? Or perhaps even longer?"

The reality is because she develops slower and she is less human, it will surely just take her longer to reach the same amount of power. What you are suggesting with this sounds the same as someone saying they found a real-life infinite money glitch using something like inspect element on their web bank account. It just sounds ridiculous

unless she questions her directly and sees a lie

In Sirius's and Lupin's minds, the theory that Crouch's son was still alive was becoming more and more likely… Through a roundabout way, the truth was emerging, although their reasoning was completely off: Ginny had been the one to erase those memories, to keep the Horcruxes a secret!

I don't. She'd get the weakness associated with her bloodline as well. She'll keep her memories after she dies by how things look as well.

To the second brother, Death gave a stone that allowed him to recall the dead to the living. He used it to bring back his dead girlfriend, but she proved to be too depressing for him, causing him to unalive himself.

Oleandra shook her head. Unfortunately, it seemed that for some reason, she couldn't tell lies any more, so she had to get creative with her storytelling.

it's not my fault they sold so well!

As for History of Magic, Professor Binns was droning on and on about the Goblin Rebellions of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Apparently, some bloke named Parry Hotter had singlehandedly put an end to the rebellions by going on a massive killing spree as a fifth year student at Hogwarts. Hotter had also been a notorious poacher, going around the Forbidden Forest and collecting endangered species to sell them on the black market, but by that point, there had scarcely been a soul brave enough at Hogwarts to confront him.

unless they don't need to be visible to be used

And thus, Daphne had come up with a recipe for invisible ink that required a special solvent to remove. It was made with Mandragora extract, which had certain properties related to sound frequencies. Daphne had enchanted it so that the ink would only appear when a certain key phrase was said; it needed to be a rare enough to not come up in everyday conversation, as well as being easy to say. And so, Oleandra's key phrase was the named after the most pointless of Muggle inventions: the Banana Hanger.

why something so weird and unecessarily long? why not a single made-up word that can be said in an instant?

This is an assassination attempt. She wants them both dead!

"In that case, there's this, er, portal," Oleandra said, trying to think of a way to say her piece without betraying any of her secrets. "In the castle. It leads to a beautiful place; prairies as far as the eye can see, plenty of giant sheep to hunt. You'll be able to visit whenever you want."

ginny told her to watch out for the trees earlier no?

This was very bad news indeed; Oleandra had very few supplies to walk such a long distance, not to mention she'd probably be chased the entire way. If she turned back and hid in the mountains, then she'd be no closer from home. Under normal circumstances, she'd have used the Tree-Porting spell to teleport to the city, but unfortunately, the altered form of Berkana was still missing from her repertoire, and she hadn't seen a single tree the entire time she'd been in this world.
