If I remember, In many generic plot devices. The rich young master almost always come up with a sneak attack, or other unhanded tactic when facing a potentially tough opponent. I wasn’t saying the protag halo, or plot armor, of invincibility was going to fail him. I was just speculating, the possibility of the duel having that kind of situation happening. It would most inevitably end in failure.
MC is now going too pick fights with Gods? Oh boy, hopefully he gets stronger faster! I mean mortal opponents, albeit legendary heroines, and villians can still mop the floor with him. He practically, had to have the “old man”send a Monarch to save him at the last minute, against the guy from the Iris project!
I wonder how Jayden’s duel will go. I know we only saw one with the MC. I have a feeling outside “interference” might be a possibility. I mean even though MC is mutually hated by most of the characters. He is still a noble and got hit with underhanded tactics. I could see Jayden suffering a similar fate considering his commoner status. Thomas can’t afford to lose to someone of lesser status and might try too set up a plan to play dirty as well?
Edward seems a little hung up on treating this as a game. The problem seems too be that the changes he made have already affected all the characters, both villains and protagonists. I think even Edward fails too see it. He keeps categorizing everyone based on their game titles and doesn’t really look at them as people with their own motivations.
I seem to notice the villianess, seems to be a major trouble magnet for our MC. She gets him in a duel with a Pretender. Keeps trying to grill him for tips to get Alfred to fall in love with her. Now, she and Elona got him caught spying on Simon and the others. I wonder how thing will progress from here?
Well too be honest, heroic self sacrifice falls under category of a hero, or heroine.
