if you know you know lol
yes. their are forest, cave, water, fire, and mountain goblin variations. as far as I've read up on anyway.
did someone say plunder?
glorious wind was Ivan's already. agate was found by Marvin but since he can't use it(class restriction) I guess he loaned it to them? or it was a wedding gift lol
every problem has a solution. gorgon that turns suitors to stone from looking at them? BAG! Cursed to where all that see your face hate you? BAG!!!!
not necessarily. he said democracy in peaceful times is good. but in a situation where war and such occur and infighting is rampant it's best to have one or two in charge. that way decisions can be made and the orders carried out without many squabbling. this does ( in our world at least) lead to people who take power to not release their hold on that power they gain. but since monsters, Gods, demons and devil's are involved inner power struggles lead to destruction. so having a singular person in charge of a kingdom is the best option so as not too spread the decisions or power too thin.
he had his priorities in order
Ivan's heavy breathing intensifies
this is true. considering Marvin is a low ranking noble without a class(general knowledge of most people in the area since it's only been 2 or 3 weeks since his migration) his reasoning would be spot on especially since his brother is a mage. favors exchanged, threats made, money spent among higher ups. yep he'd be so right if he wasn't so wrong lol
depends on the tapering off the edge. maybe a falchion or kreigsmesser
I'm with you on this one. a thicker and wider blade does add to the force of the blow. of course the tapering off the edge would play a factor in damage it still stands to reason the mass of the blade plays a factor in the strength of the blow. take for example a rapier Vs a long sword. while the person they fight is wearing full plate armor. the rapier would do significantly less damage due to the mass of the blade and since it was more centered around single unarmored combat(mind you it was still being used against people with minimal armor) while the long sword, depending on the profile, was better suited for armored opponent. of course it was good for having and slashing but the mass behind the blade and tapered to a good point lends strength to it's piercing power. I do have to say rapiers have a bad rep for being flimsy and wobbly(not true btw) but in this case the flex in the rapier is too much to pierce armor due to it's mass and weight distribution.
I was thinking the same thing. looking forward to his future development
