I really don't like how this is starting off. Poor Jai Li is about to get caught in the cross fire of eveyones ambition. Grandfather's plan, his mother's plan, and his sisters happiness. I hope they don't start treating her badly over this. Also, the ML couldn't even look her in the eyes as if this was her fault somehow. She doesn't have a choice.

It's crazy how he dropped the news on them. He is not even giving them a choice. He said he was planning this for a long time, and I believe he was thinking about even before Jai Li's parents died. What better way to give the savior of his life spot in his family.

In away the ML does have feelings for his girlfriend. However, I think he is rushing marriage because his mother is trying to find him a bride. Someone he does know and not sure if he's going to like her.

I do not like Jai Li aunt. Everything about her is reading, "Gold digger." What women at that age has never worked, but you want your niece to give you money? Even though your husband got her parents killed. The sheer audacity of this woman. She and her kids better poof and me gone!

Jealousy is a hard pill to swallow, and the females of this family are starting to get choked up! This young woman has done nothing to any of them. They all need to straighten up because grandfather is watching.

She hasn't even been there long, and some of the family is hating that she is there. They have to realize that she never asked for any of this. If they don't like the treatment she is getting, then they need to tell grandfather. Which they would never do.

I'm glad she is going back to school. Her parents would have wanted that for. It's also nice to get some background information on grandfather.

It's her fault that their relationship is the way it is. He wanted to tell his family, but she said, no. That is why he treats her the way he does. It's like they are together, but not really.

I hope that when she finally wears that pendant, grandfather would know what it means. If it can help her find her family. Or maybe someone at the new school will have one just like it.

I get it now! At first, I couldn't understand why Jai Li's father sister married a man like that, and now I know. Her aunt is an opportunis! She doesn't even care that her niece just lost her whole family. She only cares about securing new sleeping accommodations for her and her children. All because she wants an upgrade from what she was living at. They are right when they say birds of a feather flock together. Her and her husband are the same.

Jai Li is finally letting it all out, and she couldn't control it. Sometimes, your body just knows even when it tries to hold on. It's going to take some time, but she needs to heal. On another note, the uncle is going to get what he deserves. I call RED RUM! 🤨

It's none of the neighborhoods business what is going on at her house. I'm sure someone heard what was going on the other night, and no one came to help them. This loving family didn't have their community support to help them. They just listen in their homes like cowards. SMH

They can't understand why she doesn't want to go to the station to see her uncle. She looks at it like they got him, and justice will be served. They, however, want to look him in his eyes and let him know that this is all his fault.

Since her family just died, she needs time to heal. I hope she doesn't harm herself. Her family wouldn't want that for her. If only the male lead can actually have a conversation with her, instead of just staring at her. Just maybe she wouldn't feel alone.

Find the uncle. This is all his fault. Had he not given them the wrong address, Jai Li's mom would still be at home resting from her cold. He should get charged just as much as the guys who beat them up. Also, find her auntie so she can know that her brother and his wife are dead because she didn't make a phone call warning them. How could they do this to Jai Li?

This was too painful to hear, and if I were Jai Li, I would have blacked out, too. She is now an orphan and has no family to turn to. What is she going to do now? Her mother and father were paying for her schooling and the house. She has nothing left! Does that mean she has to leave her home?

That would explain all of her anxiety. She can feel when the people she loves are in distress. The people she loves more than anything are her family. She is going to be so heartbroken when she fines out the truth.

Now that they know how are they going to explain this to her? Is her father going to live, or will she become an orphan? This really brought tears to my eyes to read. How sad!

Even though she was cities away from her family, she could still feel if something was wrong. She is having a panic attack because she knows something happened to her mother. Grandfather will soon find out, and I don't know how he is going to tell her.

This is so sad. They should have checked the identity of the family before they started beating up people. Jail Li is going to be heartbroken. Her beloved more is now gone, and her father is in a coma. I'm sure grandfather will take care of her now.
