I just started watching hunter x hunter and the joker design from that show reminds me of the one from this story. the tattoos under the eyes and white suit, there are differences but I had to say it because I didn't expect to be reminded of this story. I guess it's true that if you pay attention you can find connections & reminders in everything.

the part about first meeting jackob reminded me.... what does he look like? I don't remember ever getting a detailed description of him. wasn't he a beastman, and if so are beastmen like that of anyother book/game where they are humanoid creatures? or are they just humans with animal parts?
