I gotta say man, I was pretty skeptical of this novel at first, reading all those mixed reviews didn't help either. There are some scenes you will find annoying or nonsensical but the overall work it's great, I don't usually like to read comedy in supposedly 'dark' novels but it works so well here, Harley has some of the best lines and the other characters compliment each other well enough. The plot may not be the most original nor the most interesting but nonetheless it's good enough to not be a bore.If you like DC and don't mind an OP MC who has no qualms on killing and torturing, then this is most likely for you.

I see no reason to subject random humans who probably don't even know magic exists to whatever suffering I'd inflict on them just so I can practice, I'll do a little grave robbing later on to solve my corpse problem. If I need lucky subjects… well, I already have enemies, and I'm sure I can find some subjects worthy of my attention.
