Omg I’m not an author n even I get so pissed when I see dumb whiny fudges like that. Like what the hell r tags for?? Decoration? I’ve seen so many that had controversial tags such as ‘r a p e’ or ‘s h o t a’ or ‘stockholm syndrome’ tagged n even the translators would go out of their way to warn the readers MULTIPLE times yet they would still read on, get pikachu face shocked rate the stiry poorly n give horrible reviews based on that issue. Every single time I see crap like that, I’d want to jump thru the screen, whip these readers till they cry, drag them to an optical doctor to get them rotton eyes checked n make them read the tags again🤦♀️ Oh hehe I accidentally ranted oops🙈
Worst of all, there are also cases of many small-minded readers who will immediately give a 1 star rating if there is something they really don't like in a story despite how much they liked it before. And even if you give proper warning and tags beforehand they will still accuse the author of betraying their trust because they themselves didn't bother reading these warnings and now have had their eyes 'tainted'. These are the bane of all authors who write anything remotely controversial and it inevitably will bring down their score. This is so true. In stories I often root for the colder, alpha male guy or the controlling obsessive type cuz the difficulty in getting him makes the story fun and interesting n their behaviours after they fall also make for a very memorable fictional novel. But in real life, I’d 100% def go for the kind, respectful, funny and gentlemanly type who clearly shows they like me as well instead of leaving me with millions of misunderstandings simply cuz they couldn’t or didn’t want to convey their feelings. It’s a more relaxing n happy relationship imo
To be honest, Zheng Jinhai, this overbearing domineering CEO character can only really appeal to readers, female leads, female supporting leads and perverts like Jia Hyson. In the real world, not many people actually like such a cold, tyrannical easily jealous and possessive alpha male.
