Technically both are correct. Chinese names (and many Asian names in general) are written and spoken Last Name, First Name (Family Name, Given Name). But the US is Given Name, Family Name. So she usually goes by Xiuying Lieu because she’s American, but sometimes she uses the Chinese standard. If it’s confusing or odd though, as a reader, I might just keep it American standard throughout. Thanks for pointing out the discrepancy! Xx
