I am but an author. The story my body and readers my blood. I have cliffed myriads of readers. Unknown to them. Nor known to others. Yet these hands will always write. So, I say.. Let's have some fun.

Hi! I have fixed the formatting. I don't know why this is happening, but I'll be double-checking from now on before posting. Chapters often don't update on the app, so that's why it might not be showing up correctly,

    2) Upload chapters 1 at a time throughout the week. There are two things to note: A) I'll revert to [3 chapters /week together] during combat chapters, and will notify about it beforehand. B) IMPORTANT!! I CAN NOT commit on specific day schedule (Like [Mon, Wed, Fri] or [Tue, Thurs, Sat]) because that's not how I write—so if we go option (2), the chapters will be uploaded when they're completed, which will be entirely depend on how productive I'm that week.

Kakashi was an ANBU Captain, not the ANBU Commander.

"Tell the ANBU commander to send me Hatake and his team along with Uchiha Itachi if he's not on the team anymore." Hiruzen sensed Ichi's reluctance and confusion. "It will be good to have a Uchiha and the Sharingan to be there when I meet Danzo. I can't bring Uchiha Fugaku with me, and he might not trust my words, he might not trust his son, but he will trust Hatake."

They're big enough that Takuma doesn't have to be constantly worry about chakra resource management during the fight. Which is a luxury that not all shinobi have. More about it is already written in the future chapters.

'Just how much chakra does he have?' she thought.

A picture is indeed worth a thousand words

The black-clad shinobi turned. A startling surprise crossed his eyes as he saw Takuma. The surprise made the man slow, and he couldn't avoid the punch into the stomach. The man flew back like a cannonball and slammed into a burning tent that still stood.

Thanks! I actually think characters are my weak point. There are many more writers who do characters, character motivation, and character emotions much better than me. I realize that characters are what hooks the reader as if they're not invested in the characters, the readers won't care no matter what amazing stuff the characters are doing—and I consider myself lucky that my style of writing helps me accomplish the character building through sheer quantity of time spent with characters rather than short but very effective character portrayal. Like, after spending nearly 400K words with Takuma, it will be difficult to not have some form of investment in him.

    — Takuma doesn't know about the changes that have took place in this world, and he wasn't sure when the original events would've have opened if the timeline hadn't changed. But he couldn't use terms like "will/would/might/may" or anything that adds a speculative tone. To make sure his words were taken seriously, he termed everything as if it was already happened or about to happen without fail. — The reason Takuma didn't mention Obito is because Takuma doesn't remember him being part of the massacre. Like many, he thinks that Itachi did the entire execution alone because that was what the manga said for a very long time and unlike the anime, Obito's role reveal went by quick— (In anime, they did the entire Izumi things and stuff, which was absent in the manga.) — In this chapter, Itachi left without saying anything to Mikoto. The same string events as canon happened. He was somehow contacted by Shisui who was about to die, they met, and Shisui told Itachi about what happened. — After meeting with Shisui, Itachi went to meet with Sasuke to establish an alibi. As far as everyone was concerned, he was with Sasuke. — A very subtle indication about how Sasuke perceives Fugaku, and signs of his inferiority complex in regards to Itachi. Fugaku had praised Sasuke when he successfully performs the Great Fireball Jutsu—but as soon as they return home, Fugaku is totally focused on Itachi and seemingly has no time Sasuke. Sauske, a child, doesn't know the entire story and will think that Fugaku values Itachi more than him. — Shisui's Kotoamatsukami doesn't fade away at his death. Fugaku and other Uchiha bigwigs still have their minds altered—of course, things might change due to other factors.

Well, them knowing about the ins-and-outs of the police force, only the readers know that, Takuma doesn't know how that links in; it's not Narcotics Taskforce is a secret operation, they are regularly featured in the newspapers.— Second, about not recalling any other organization. Kishimoto did a great job with the structure of the world, but he also needed to keep everything focused on the plot and thus ROOT was the only major org, but if you remember in the Land of Waves arc, the first enemy Team-7 meets are a pair of shinobi who try to assassinate Tazuna (the bridge builder). As I mentioned in the original response: there are going to be plenty of assassin organization in a world like Naruto. — Third, I 100% understand where you're coming from when you mention "occurred inside the village," but my view of the villages is closer to our normal cities (close, not same). The Hidden Villages might be filled with shinobi and are secure, but the bad guys are also shinobi. In my head, every Hidden Village is filled with spies from other villages and parties who have vested interest in knowing what's happening. — so my vision is that it's not impossible to infiltrate Hidden Villages— Hidden Sand did infiltrate in secret before the full-on invasion (despite how the Pain Arc showed that there's an invisible surveillance layer around Hidden Layer) —— I completely understand how given the canon world some things might seem odd, and they might be truly be odd because I probably have modified the world too much for this fic, and the readers don't have the proper context because I straight up didn't give enough.

I haven't thought about what I'm going to do next. — But whatever I do, the first requirement is that I love the source media. My works tend to be longfics, taking 1-2 years to complete, so if I don't like the original, I don't think I will ever write. Fortunately, I'm an easily pleased person, so I tend to enjoy most things which are done reasonably well. — Now, I'm hesitant to write pursue TV shoes as long ones are usually stretched out due to TV ratings and the lore becomes twisted and convoluted (additionally, I currently don't want to write non-fantasy). — As for Lord of the Rings, I have neither seen the movies, nor read the books because they got too hyped for me and I'm scared that I will be disappointed. — One Piece, it's not complete, so that's out (I need the source material to be complete), and I have only read like half of it — Game of Thrones: Oh boy, I don't know if I can keep all the political dynamics in my head and write a story of that level of complexity. Currently, if I write a GoT fic, it's going to be a kingdom building story based on introducing better technology/knowledge/techniques. — Lord of Mysteries: I'm hella interested. — Tower of Gods: I followed the manhwa for a bit, but it's been a while. I will have to see what's it like right now. — Grimm: Hmm, I have watched it, and it did like it, and I think I could come up with some enjoyable stuff if I put some thought into it, but it did end up becoming a bit convoluted at the end, though its still a good world to explore. — If you ask me what I want to do next? Hmm... I would like to do something sci-fi, or maybe something with a very expansive world, or probably something which is not as intense as The Outsider's Resolve.

I personally disagree. First of all, thinking that a super secretive organization would target him over a drug raid is heights of ego/narcissism(or sense of self-importance). Takuma has been in the world long enough that he has lost any self-delusion of the "Main Character Syndrome"— as far Takuma is concerned, he's just another shinobi trying to progress in his career. Second, no one is going to believe that ROOT couldn't take out a genin like Takuma. That's like spitting in ROOT's face. Third, I believe the reason it seems that ROOT would be the obvious culprit is because or our perception of ROOT being the only organization possessing "assassins." But in the context of the world, there is are going to be plenty of assassination organizations. There are plenty of for-hire rogue shinobi and organizations. Zabuza and Haku is one of them. Akatsuki before their entire tailed-beast stealing plan was a merc organization, and they even got jobs from Hidden Stone. It's only logical that there are going to be other orgs who provide certain services. Fourth, it's a huge leap in logic. Everyone including Takuma will look at the facts. They will think why a target was put on Takuma? The obvious reason is his job— then they will look what did he do— he lead a raid on a drug farm, directly hurting the drug trade— and through that, they will think that a drug lord put the hit on Takuma. ROOT, a very high-level organization, who are involved in matters of huge importance wouldn't go after someone relatively unimportant like Takuma. At least, that was my chain of thoughts as I was writing this scenario.
