To all those people commenting about how stupid this was, I disagree. While this MC is far from the brightest, this specific decision of his was not stupid. He recently became a dual body and essence cultivator and he went along and tested the limits of his body against an early mist creation creature. There is nothing stupid about that- unlike his other decisions.

Okay, so the story itself is really good and engaging however the writing quality is just better than MTL and nothing else. In the rating I gave almost all criterias 5 stars except for writing quality which I gave 2. I don’t have a problem with spelling and grammatical mistakes so long as the author improves on them, but the same spelling mistakes are consistent throughout the novel. No improvement... and that is not considering the fact that sometimes different words are used than what is intended causing sentences to be confusing. An example would be using specification instead of specialization. In a nutshell, it’s a good read if you can ignore the writing quality. To all the MTL bros out there, this novel is paradise! If you’re picky with writing quality though, then.... yeah no. Better luck elsewhere 🤝

Finally, a novel that is worth reading. A novel that I find suitable for first place in the power rankings alonside the mech touch. A novel of actual quality. I am extremely happy I found this gem, and it’s on my list of good novels alongside LOTM, TLM, TMT, RI, TNE...etc.

There are a lot of books that do NOT get the love they deserve. this is not even a matter of preference but the very novel’s quality. How can novels like the vampire system or blood warlock get a higher ranking than novels like shadow slave or the mech touch? Finding a good novel is a pain on this app both because of the company and the readers who just want an R18 tag smh

You just know your worth, considering how many other novels get 5 star ratings despite inferior writing, translation, world building...etc. your book deserves an infinite number of stars by their standards and at least 4.5 by strict standards. Yo, this is me from the future. So, I decided to go back here to tell u guys that the novel is worth reading. it has a rough start no doubt but the author is decent in character and all the filler + world building ur going through isnt something ur paying for so there is that. This is one of those novels where u can clearly see the improvements in the author’s writing as u go on and its novels like these that make me stick around whenever I get a negative opinion of a certain novel- because it gets better.

That is a loooong story bro but I’ll try to summarise. The key here is the setting, in the legendary mechanic the mc was transported into the online virtual reality game he was playing- making it seem like one of those other novels at first glance. However, as you go deeper into the story u start to uncover more and more about the “game” universe’s history and finally uncover a great truth. MAJOR Spoiler alert: that truth is that the universe Is destined to end- to be utterly destroyed after a certain period of time and to overcome certain death, the first ever super civilization attempted to overcome their own demise through rebirth- letting both the universe and all living beings be reborn again. It was half-successful, the ultimate death of the universe was changed into a cycle of rebirth but its living beings were not successfully reborn and only a few still “lived” but in a special form. And so, every civilization forwards grew, from nacsent and ignorant into civilizations that are sometimes superio or inferior to their predecessors but super civilizations nonetheless, and when they achieve this level of growth they will be qualified to learn of the history of their universe and thus learn of their demise. So like their predecessors, each civilization will attempt to overcome their own demise after learning from what remains of their predecessors. The system in the legendary mechanic is part of the previous super civilization’s combined might attempt to save themselves. How? Well, they descided that thay will turn their universe into a seperate dimension that exists based on the real universe- so that it exists in a semi-illusary state along with its living beings. So that when the main universe undergoes rebirth their universe will be its shadow. A major flaw here is that this “shadow” universe does not really exist as long as it is seperated from the main universe and to actually “revive” the living beings and the previous super civilization both the “shadow” and the newly reborn “main” universe must fuse and thus a link must form between the two said universes- The system. I may have made it look a lot more complicated than it is but I’m not that good when it comes to explaining stuff, so sorry lol Anyways, its an awesome novel and you should really try it.
