At least, thats what it seems to be so far
its based off of DNDs magic, stat, and creature system; id reccomend looking up some rudimentary videos about DND
I think the fact that it is the specific series of events strung together that bars it from becoming a subgenre; it's not like it's a particular setting or vague storyline that this novel is taking inspiration from, its specific plot points and events. In my eyes, that is a rip-off; though from what I remember the novel got much better later on, it's been quite a while since I've read it though.
Black Tech Internet Cafe System
He said a few paragraphs ago he doesn’t want to do that because the tower might be suspicious of why he wants to buy them. I believe the stones are only useful to mages, not knights.
The story itself is alright, nothing great, nothing awful. The thing that makes me rate this novel a 3 is the fact that the author constantly picks fights and belittles readers whenever they comment something even a hint negative about the novel, even if they try their best to be polite about it. I read on this site for some original stories and to see a comment section. When that comment section is filled with a fight between the author and the readers, it makes the reading experience that much worse. I would definitely not recommend this novel to anyone who pays attention to the comment section.
Can you not read? The thing that killed him was the defensive spell that Li had put on Thane earlier that triggered when he was hit
He is seeing women being r*ped right in front of his eyes, with the power to end that horrid action and you think that action is hypocritical if he hasn't killed his sons? He hasn't even seen his sons yet, who knows if he will enact his revenge or not? But at that moment he is there, right now, witnessing a horrendous action with the will and power to stop it and he just shouldn't because 'Oh No! Hypocrisy!'. No.
Does it matter if the world is about to be ruled by strength and he'll be one of, if not, the strongest?
I mean he hasn't really had to do anything up until this point. First the cops 'saved' him, then Edward 'saved' him. Nothing had touched him yet
I just binged through that novel a few days ago and don't remember where that word was mentioned. Could you remind me?
That is correct grammar, when referring to multiple ethnic groups you use the word 'peoples' rather than people.
of course
They are not talking about 'found' as in the past-tense of find. They are talking about 'found' as in the founding of a company; i.e. making something. The English language is stupidly complicated.
nope
you're right, they aren't themes exclusive to MVS but, it's the line-up of every single one of those themes in a particular order that makes it a rip-off. I'm sure it will deviate later down the story line but for now, it's a rip-off, not a bad one though.
I feel like this is the wrong way to approach a story like this. The author has been mentioning racism the entire story and yet the main character judges everyone based on race. I'm not just talking about the female lizard-girl, the MC has been mentioning on multiple occasions how much he hates specific races like hobgoblins, orcs, goblins, etc. If you are trying to create a novel where you tackle the idea of racism and its negative impact on society, even as a background plot, this is for sure not the way to go about it. Especially with the way the MC is experiencing racism and then proceeding to racially discriminate afterward, it just seems disingenuous. But I love the story idea and will continue following it through, just some thoughts on the story so far.
