Story seems to slowly develop into a whole “She’s the key to everyone’s problems” plot. I also don’t understand why the author repeated explains that “ she originally has a cold personality to begin with” and constantly always introduces her into a scene as “a little girl in a white t-shirt”. Maybe they wanted the FL to sound bada** or something. It’s an okay read in comparison to others, but still fails in repetitive narrative. Perhaps they just needed the word count. It does draw away a bit in my desire to read the story. Especially as there is zero actual character development for FL 70 chapters in. Literally just the same person she was when she died with no problems, solving the original’s external problems and just trying to gain her powers to face slap more people.

I won’t say that writing wise it is any better than other Webnovels of similar genres or subgenres. Webnovels are literally just carbon copies of other stories. I can tell the story won’t end soon, as the author very likely will spend 300 chapters just to get the ML to finally have some major ephinany. However, the concept itself is quite nice. There was a similar story to this that got ruined before the author decided to give both FL and ML hidden identities. This definitely just feels more like a “hard work gets you places” farming stories.

yea I totally forgot that. i'm so used to FLs usually being part of the big main branch so their cousins don't get counted in.

their pronunciation is the same. the translator did their jobs correctly, you guys. although ML said "her" (indicated in the female "ta") it literally is pronounced the same as "he". The writer likely used the correct 她 and 他 during each of their dialogue. this is one of many reasons why Chinese is consider a high context language.

personally i like the ML's character. he fits the stoic hero to a T, and he's not some scheming nefarious person with a hidden identity. he's literally just a dude who knows his position in the family and is just tolerating it out of familial duties. it's what draws me to the book. i'm actually quite angry at how flipping long i have to wait for this book to be selected for chapters.

Personally a very intriguing first 40 chapters. The usual transmigration and turn the tables on misfortune and poverty deal. The ML is in the story at the beginning and the ex is bad but not overalls horrible.

I believe it’s the racist comments in the book that is bothering people, not the idea that having pale skin is racist. (I stopped reading this before the end of free chapters so idk) Some comments mentioned that the author wrote something similar to having dark skin so black people thought someone was from Africa. That sort of phrasing IS racist. They’re essentially labeling a whole race as ugly for their skin color, which is no different from actual history. It isn’t about how some Asian culture revere paler whiter skin tones, but the fact that such words/thoughts/insults which are racist can easily be accepted as “oh because it’s a cultural thing” and then continue to not fix that sort of thought. Not having pale skin =/= being Black, which essentially one such line did actually equate. Personally, I dropped this book because everything was too easily convenient and easygoing because of the system. It almost seemed pointless for their to actually even have any character development or struggles. Therefore my thoughts are only if other comments were accurate.

The villainous apparently has only dumbasses fool but not her brothers and people that supposedly actually care about her. “Because of the system” she gets beautiful every day and starts looking like her old self??? EVERY. DAY. …anyways, this isn’t my cup of tea.

HOWEVER she also disgusts me. it is undeniable that she took advantage of his love, devotion and trust for her as well as ML's. worse off is she's playing the gentle, weak lady who never knew any hardship. i do believe that if you enter a marriage, it is true that you have a certain level of alliance, mutual understanding, trust and care for your partner. that he explicitly explain where their livelihood came from and who they owed their wealth too, and still took advantage of thought is disgusting. she basically showed that she did not honor a vow of mutual trust and alliance with her marriage partner. honestly my man, even if you didn't wanna separate from her, you should still separate from her. not just for some few days or nothing. make it a year. leave her abandoned at her parents house. cuz that entire family knowingly betrayed and took advantage of you. they didn't see you as husband, lover, brother, or son. cut off contact because they don't deserve the amount of love and respect you showed them.
