so yeah I really appreciate these stories where the mc is special but not the only one who's special. Oh, and the world building is also pretty interesting, which is very nice.

I'm glad someone gets it. I can appreciate a power fantasy, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I just want an awesome blood pumping fight between powerful people, not a continuous stream of one-sided beat downs.

something that has always bothered me is how the mc is the only special snowflake there is. The mc always finds some special technique or overpowered treasure just laying around, How Are They The Only One?! I mean you can just walk outside the starter city and find an ancient bloodline, and somehow I'm supposed to believe that no one else has done that? it's just ridiculous.

Funny enough I found forge of destiny first and it helped me appreciate this story alot. I thought the idea of a world where the mc isn't the only one who's special while still being strong was an interesting idea.

Don't know if you've read forge of destiny, but you'll probably like it for similar reasons.
