Ok, I'll bite. Never heard of the author before but strong female lead and possessive male lead are my weaknesses. I'm also extremely weak for long silver hair on the male lead so bonus points there lol. Grammar looks good so far (I drop stories with bad English as it's a large pet peeve of mine) and world building aspect looks promising. It also gives a vibe of some other books from authors I like on here as well.

From what I saw he (as a merchant is expected to do) was suggesting high end items but he was suggesting them at the value they were worth instead of trying to rip her off. She had mistook the different coin amounts which got everything so messed up. He did use her timidity to put more things on the list, but to be fair when you're in a business transaction it is on you to understand exactly what you're buying and what it's worth, so Maxi is to blame on that front. Once she showed backbone he responded accordingly. It's good life experience to have, and it was nice seeing Maxi grow from the encounter. One learns through one's mistakes. The fact that she's been told she's worthless all her life and yet still has backbone is great to see and makes me proud of her.
