Sorry for taking so long to reply... I really haven't visited webnovel in a while ... Anyways, I just looked up prices for novels on Kindle Unlimited and off kindle unlimited and the prices they charge on webnovel are about ten times as much. On Kindle Unlimited, authors are payed per page read (kind of similar to the webnovel system of charging per page read). Except, Kindle Unlimited pays only 0.0045$ per page read while webnovel charges 0.02$ per page read. Now, I don't know if webnovel takes any royalties off of that, but I'm going to assume that they don't. And if they don't, that means they're charging a price essentially 25 times bigger than AMAZON. Think about that. Here, authors make 25 times more money than on Amazon. Thus isn't about whether it's worth it or not. This is about economics, market prices, and how webnovel is giving their authors 25 times more money than AMAZON. And I don't see authors roasting Kindle Unlimited or Amazon online, so I can only assume that their system is fair and just. BTW, infinite paths: the raging pheonix is on Kindle now. Not unlimited; but all eight books can be bought for 40$. Clearly, there is some sense to what I'm saying if the author/webnovel put the book up.
Well, the thing is, I do realize that the words in this one book are worth ten books, but I, personally, would never spend $300 on a bundle purchase of ten books. I have never spent $30 on a book for pleasure in my life. I honestly think that this whole charge-prices-like-these-are-paper-novels system is skewed. I mean, how many people reading online novels actually spent $300 on paper novels for pleasure before? Not too many, I'd suppose. And you can't forget about kindle unlimited, of which I am a healthy subscriber, which has a bountiful amount of interesting stories to read, for a monthly subscription of $11.99. Now, compare $11.99 for ten or more books a month to $300 for one book. Are you starting to see the disparity? I must also mention something that my Father always told me; when spending money, compare the value of what you're purchasing to your income. If I purchased a book for my own pleasure, worth $300, that's equal to about a week's wages. Without considering other expenses. Think about that for a moment. A lot of subconscious thought goes into our "not worth it" decision about this book. It's not a dismissal. It's not an insult. It's simply a human prioritization of resources.
There's no easy way. Option #1; watch ads. You can watch like three (or five?) ads a day to unlock chapters. simply go to the locked chapter and you'll immediately see the option. Option #2; fast pass. Honestly, fast passes come from everywhere on webnovel. But there is a section in your profile that tells you how to earn them: I forgot what it was called, but it shouldn't be too hard to find. It tells you all the tasks you can do together fast passes, like "read for 10 minutes in XXXX book" or "Daily login." Use a fast pass at a locked chapter to unlock it. (Be careful as not all fast passes can unlock the novel you want. Webnovel, this scamming site, usually divides its fast passes by genre, so if you were to get a romance novel genre fast pass, you wouldn't be able to use it on this novel. That's why I don't bother with the fast passes. Also, the fast passes expire. I can't remember how long they take to expire, but no longer than a week. So, yeah, no accumulation. No binge reading. No brockarot.)
I feel you... Honestly, I don't even read anything on webnovel now after the big update. I can't stand stuff like "waiting for free chapters" and "fast passes." I don't know why I still have the app on my phone. Maybe to get jealous of a few people who can throw hundreds of dollars around like nothing. ...Yeah, I think it's time for me to delete the app.
It's not unreasonable at all! This is the first book on webnovel that I've even seen with a trigger warning and it is much appreciated! Thank you!

I really like this author's works, but I can't read this novel. I really, REALLY want to, but I can't. That's because of the ridiculous price. If it only cost $20, $25, heck, even $30, I would probably buy it. But, after doing the calculations, I've discovered that this novel would cost me $80. I can't, in right mind, pay that much to read a novel, even one that I REALLY want to read. I'm not that wealthy. I only come from a normal middle class family. I just really, really can't pay that. Ugh. Seriously, I'm only posting this review to rant about this, because this novel has been in my head constantly for the past month. Whenever I think of webnovel, I think of this novel. It's at the point of obsession already. But as a normal, money-minded American, I CAN'T BUY THAT BOOK. Also, I'm serious about the price. check out my attached picture, it shows how webnovel prices work.I. AM. FREAKING. FRUSTRATED. I SWEAR IF THE PRICE IS CUT TO $20 OR $25 I WILL BUY THIS BOOK IMMEDIATELY. ILL PROBABLY HESITATE AT $30 BUT WILL PROBABLY STILL BUY IT. ARGHHHHHHHH!
What no. It's literally only a 30 minute wait. Do your math pls.
I was just wondering, author, does this novel have a concrete power system (leveling system)? It doesn't have to be too set-in like in renegade immortal, but is it at least there? I don't see anything in the description or tags indicating a power system, and no power system is a major turn off for me. ☹
Well... Your opinion is okay, and you're right, it isn't like we're over here hating the citizens of Russia or anything, but all I'm saying is that people do this sort of stuff all of the time, so why is there a need to hate on a book so much just because they put up their country a little excessively? What is truly excessive is this hatred of nationalism. If you just take a look at the other reviews on this book, they are just insulting. I once saw someone say in another book, "CHINESE NUMBAAAA JUMBAAAAA," and I could not believe how many likes their nonsense got. Such nonsensical hatred damages both the author and the integrity of the webnovel community, just as much as newbies voting for novels that have too many cliches. Just step back for a moment and look at how many reviews on this novel aren't reviews at all, and are just hating at Chinese nationalism.
