How are you going to handle timeline changes? In the legends of tomorrow, it's shown that whenever the timeline is changed, a type of time wave propagates throughout the timeline and changes everything to match the new history. Which is honestly kinda scary because if you're a speedster, you'd be able to outrun the timeline changes as you would see them coming.
I don't get why Thawne actually needed to steal the tachyon device, especially considering Cisco eventually made his own smaller versions. Thawne is from the future and a speedster, so he would've had a much higher understanding of tachyons just from his general education. Thawne could've easily built his own tachyon device.
August heart ended up perfecting the velocity serum and making it permanent for himself and using tachyons to boost himself further, which turned the normal blue lightning of the velocity serum into white lightning. So it's entirely possible that if Nathan absorbs enough speedforce infused dark matter, he'll reach a similar state where he won't have a speedforce connection, but he'll still be as fast as a regular speedster. Although if Nathan has a limit of how fast he can get with speedforce infused dark matter, or the team decide to stop him from absorbing from Barry for whatever reason. You could always just have a plot where Nathan realises he needs to be faster and ends up creating his own velocity serum. If Hunter Zolomon could do it, then Nathan probably has an even much better chance of creating his own speed drug.
In the show, it's only shown that Thawne is looking at the newspaper article of the flash vanishing in crisis. It's his way of making sure the timeline is going as planned, but Thawne probably does also have access to other newspaper articles and just never bothered with them. It's entirely possible that Thawne could use those to guide Nathan along the path he wants.
Thanks for the chapter. I can see Thawne is trying to feed Nathan's paranoia of not being fast or powerful enough. It's pretty obvious he's doing this because he's seen Nathan touch both the speed force and negative speed force. But what benefit does Thawne gain from this? He's already gotten a bunch of speedforce infused dark matter, so is he truly just doing this to turn Nathan into an antagonist against team flash?
Honestly, if Ben wants to avoid any future suspicions by revealing his multitrix too early, he should just focus on his mana ability. He has already spent years hiding his mana ability from his family, so keeping his multitrix secret and using his mana to fight would be the smart decision.
I'm guessing Ben's current copy of the omnitrix is pretty low-tech. His copy is mostly constructed out of nanites, which can't emulate all of the dedicated hardware of the original. It also has plenty of weaknesses due to being mostly nanotech. If Ben wants a proper omnitrix, he'll need lots of resources and extraordinary manufacturing methods for the hardware. Basically, Ben's copy is just his own prototype that he'll either constantly upgrade or eventually replace.
