I think in this fan-fic it was explained earlier on that there was an alternative route to promotion. demonstration of skills on missions, recommendations from upper personnel, and age. I think a combination of those 3 can get him around the exam.

Overall a great story that builds on the character overtime and doesn't give out unexplained, unoriginal power boosts just to appease a cliche for readers that like reading the same A.I chip, Uber powered MC for the tenth time. Really looking forward to more updates to the story and for the Author make sure you understand the type of people who leave asinine reviews just because your story doesn't play out like the thousands of other cash grab stories on the site.
