ok I need to be more specific. Einstein and Hawkins are extreme examples. The textbook definition of a genius is someone with an IQ above 140. That is what I mean.

Einstein was an example. I didn't say we only use the word genius for him. I meant that we either use it sarcastically or for people with actual genius level intellects such as Einstein or Hawkins.

nobody does that. most people I know only ever use the word genius in 2 scenarios: if your friend said or did something stupid so you call them genius sarcastically or if we are talking about an actual genius like Einstein.
