it's good, ignore all the reviews that say "oh the MC is a moron", they're just used to mary sue protagonists who always know the right answers to everything, and are physically incapable of making mistakes because the author won't let them, here the MC actually learns and grows. the writing is shockingly good compared to the other stories on this site, and the translation is readable and inoffensive.
remember, until this point our protagonist didn't know that this guy wanted to torture him, all he knew was that he held some killing intent.

Also avoids the awkwardness of having these characters call him "Mr. Fool"
Imagine spending decades mastering the blade, conversing with your peers, learning from people around the world, and forging your own style through experience and combat. then you show up to the fight and the guy just pulls out a six shooter and nails you.
The CCP keeps any writer in China on a short leash, I'm pretty sure any negative portrayal of a secret government organization wouldn't be allowed.
Self defense, if he didn't kill him before the transformation ran out he would have been killed himself. The person attacking, attacked without provocation and it isn't reasonable to be expected for the defendant to have the ability to hold himself back enough to incapacitate him over killing him given the abilities of the assailant, and the recency of the acquisition of the transformation beast soul. This was justified.
The story was fine up until a point. It was a relatively upbeat story about a guy exploring Buddism and interacting with people using Buddist principles. Unfortunately, the story becomes much more nationalist, and begins to defies/rewords buddist teachings to better excuse things that the nationalist writer seems to think is fine. I liked it up to a point, but then I didn't.
Really good, love the concepts so far. The only issue I had was that the MC wasn't naive enough at the beginning. He was blind ever since 7, and hospitalized since 13? There is an exactly zero percent chance he would be any good at interacting with anyone or have any good methods of understanding the unfamiliar world around him, and how does he know the basic concepts of games, like NPCs and levels? There is no way he would understand those concepts if he couldn't play many games due to his early onset blindness. There also wasn't enough of a reaction to his suddenly being able to see and walk, people cry when they are cured of their colorblindness, let alone ACTUAL BLINDNESS. I would be bawling my eyes out, and I doubt our protagonist should be an exception. Only nip picking because I love good character development, and I feel like this was missed potential
