As a person who has lose someone and someone who doesn't know situation. I would suggest accepting the situation and understanding that you have no power to change anything and go spend time with your father. I have seen my aunt become destroyed because she didn't go to the hospital to see my grandpa/her father as she was scared to see him in that state and she couldn't blame anyone but herself for it. So don't waste this time as you don't know what will happen. Hope this helped, wish you and your family the best.
