Exactly. I'm a girl and I like the night, darkness around, when everything is so quiet... I admitt, sometimes it may be scarry, but overall I like it. The thing one is scared when alone in the dark is something unexpected which can more likely be hiding in shadows in compare to the times when it is light around. One is just more vulnerable, less prepaired to react and defend in dark. That is scarry, not the dark itself.
