Are you for real? I just want to warn people who's intending to read this that although it is tagged as 'completed' it's actually not. Yep, it's not. It's listed with 110 chapters btw so if in the future it's updated just keep this in mind. Anyway, in the firt place I don't have any expectations but still, it's frustrating to suddenly find out in the last chapter that it's actually just the part 1. I tried to look for raws to check how many chapters in total but i couldn't find it. I'm annoyed. Anyway, I'll just discuss the characters and the situation for this review. There's nothing much to say about the father and grandpa. I find their character stiff and without much depth. Sure their characteristics and personality were blatantly written but because of that, there's little chapters dedicated to them to actually showcase those personality so in the end you just have to believe how they were described. Little depth, in short. As for the FL, I'll cut her some slack and excuse her immature views and perception for her age. She's young, what do you expect? The challenges she's gone through weren't much and the intensity could be compared to petty fights with children their age. But she's naive, kind, and smart. As for the ML, they only met once. There's also nothing much to say about him. Her friends were even more mentioned than him. I find it awkward how their meeting went. He was 18 at that time and the FL was just a little girl. I'm not sure about the age but i know she's just in her elementary days. I feel a bit disgusted with how other people (like his comrades) tease them and how the story is leaning on that direction. Please don't.

Long review ahead! There may or may not be spoilers ahead so read at your own risk. I thought I'd end up dropping this. I rarely enjoy novels with 1000+ chapters because I'm too picky with the characters and the overly cliche storyline. Anyway, i ended up liking it and even vibed with the humor. Character wise, the ML and FL weren't the usual characters I'd stan. FL is indeed strong and capable but she's too sentimental for my liking. More specifically with how she dealt with family matters. I wish she was a little more ruthless in cutting off people who clearly emotional abused and neglected her. Anyway, i have no qualms with how she dealt with her prev life's partner. Regarding ML, he is indeed doting. However, if i were to complain, I didn't like that he kept secrets with the FL. Obviously, the FL was anxious and kept losing weight bec of it. She has also expressed her knowledge and also she could give off valuable info but he still kept silent about the matter! Instead of making her less worry, which is his intention, he made her worry even more! I feel bad reading that part. It's really all about communication! Also, the ending didn't give me any information about Gu Mingye and the Mo girl's ending. I am confident that they ended up together but hello??? Where'd the cameos? It's like after her life was settled and she gave birth, they didn't appear anymore. The second couple which was focused on the extra chapters also lacked massive communication! Pissed me off! Anyway, i do recommend this one if you're looking for a decent long read.

Long review ahead: Overall, i like it. For me, i see it as a story of two broken prodigies. Both are overly smart, talented, extremely capable but they reached that level by breaking themselves. The early trainings they went through since childhood and the betrayals they faced—it's not an exaggeration that the FL was heavily traumatized. Although the FL is not the most likeable character in times of her rising temper and distrustful tendencies, i think that it's very real. I like that she does not easily trust and give in to the ML just because he makes her feel better and treats her well. I like that the author kept it real by going through the tedious process of putting petty fights and arguments to prove that she's still on the process of healing and getting better, and that trust is not that easy to give even to the person you like. Her arguments, her overthinking, her reflex on raising her guards over little things—they all annoy me BUT thinking about what she went through and the impact, it's understandable. It even breaks my heart whenever she's relapsing. The only thing that really really annoys me despite her trauma is her fucking stubbornness about her safety. Girl. You're literally being hunted and you still insists on having your way in terms of transportation. Just fucking get in the car and accept the guards! I really don't understand her pride in this especially when the person who's hunting her gave her major trauma. She's ought to be careful but she's not! She's giving people headaches. She even have the guts to walk and even be immersed in her phone ALONE in a DESERTED parking lot and getting in an unknown car and causing major troubles to people bec HE found her. GIRL, WHAT DO U EXPECT??? I commend the ML for his brilliance, patience, and willingness to compromise (tho he's reluctant, tbh). For someone who lived like a King and has an attitude of one, it's already a wonder that he has that patience over her. His only flaw is his possessiveness. He was there at her lowest and went through the process of getting better with her. His respect for her is also there. I am also inclined to doting and pampering MLs ❤️. Another character that i like is the grandpa. My heart breaks for him when they had a major fight. I got angry at the FL. Sure she's hurt but my heart hurts more for the grandpa. His actions were not justified but it's understandable. During their fight i felt like the FL was irresponsible and putting all the blame on him when he just wants the best for her. He's always thinking about her and the only mistake he made about her is not knowing the future. That's it. I couldn't possibly blame him for choosing Zeng Tianyi given that at that time he showed great care and love for his sister enough to convince Zhao Moyao. I cried for him too. In the end, i am very satisfied. The growth of the characters and also the ending they got.

It's good, okay. And it's simple. Too simple in fact! I feel like there's more room for excitement and fluff. The relationship between stepmother and son could still be better and more. The interactions between husband and wife could still be stickier and fluffier. The ending felt abrupt to me. There were questions left unanswered and things that were left unaddressed. For example, FL didn't mention or confess anything about her transmigration. Also, her goal of understanding the FL's background/life story and reason behind her marriage. The orig owner's relationship was also mentioned once and it was even hinted multiple times yet there was no proper explanation and closure of it. It makes the ending unfulfilling and sudden. The wedding was even mentioned too but there was no talks about it.
