I feel like lycanthropes are misnomers towards the actual identity of these beast folk, because one lycan usually relates to a human who can turn into a man-wolf at will, and that it relates to a unique talent or curse that a bloodline of humans would have. As mentioned earlier, I usually refer to human-like beasts born that way as beast folk, and you can put any animal in front of folk, i.e. Bear Folk to help with any misconceptions with the readers. Sophia becomes obsessed later on towards the research to live forever, eventually creating a ritual that sacrificed her humanity, and bound her to the library. She can leave but she will be weakened the further she goes, but when she dies she is reborn in the library.

So, one issue, it is supernatural instead of eldrich. Eldritch is a group of supernatural creatures that are old, very old, dark, dangerous, and weird. They sew confusion, chaos, and their own brand of fun. While this world is full of supernatural creatures, ghosts are supernatural, demons are supernatural, creatures above the line of normal in a world are supernatural. Eldritch is Cthulu and his friends/enemies.=-=, Eldritch is intervening on laws of the world itself, to become strange, but the supernatural can be explained.

It's probably the ancestor witches from pangu's body type witch and not gender-bender type.
