You know, I see many people in the comments asking why people think the way they do. so I'll just give a little bit of real life. In a system that still used nobility as its governing force, the only thing that matters is power. There is no such thing as a "good" noble. They may do good thing ls for their country or people, but they themselves are not good people. Everything is a power play. Everything is an agenda to drive. The only thing that matters is power and how to use it. Narcissism is the only thing that can exist in a system like this. The kingdom was doomed to fail the moment it decided to go with bloodlines and nobility over merit.

No, I understand your frustration. I don't mind her not being arrogant, but this over stating of humility is getting irritating. I dont really mind her mother being shouded in mystery because that can be explored when Aster is older. But this is definitely toxic humility.
Honestly, I feel that. I feel bad for her. Hopefully there's a great character building arc around that moving forward
question. Is Charlie referring to Yoko as Amane as a hint, because currently her name is Yoko and her identity hasn't been revealed yet? or was this an accidental oversight?
