You know what would be cool? If Cell realized the differences in history and figured out his "Larval" self in this world would be even more perfected than him, then armed with this knowledge, he goes to it himself and ABSORBS it to gain the same effect as if he were that larva! That'd be dope.

I think that can be explained by the fact that Goku was alreadya Pseudo-God at that point through the SS God form and what not. He's a considered a Demi-God by the author, which is likely where the resistance comes from in this setting.

This is bssss where's the 4x multiplier? :( Although I do get it, his SSJ2 Full Power is supposed to already be above a normal super saiyan 3. But still, shouldn't the transformation still go ONTOP of it? That's what happened for SSJ2 when his normal SSJ was already on that same level of power

Tagoma is a Canon character that appears in the Super arc Revival of F actually, and this is somewhat accurate. He gained insane levels of power by being Frieza's punching bag, his body had turned to steel and no one could harm him from the Z warriors. So, this isn't BS, it's canon :D Kinda! The explanation is headcanon for sure lol
