I dislike cultivation stories that have the MC skip levels very early on without any real reasons because it take away any possible weight that ranking up would have and that one of the most important things that happens in cultivation stories.

The author just made this story worse because of that major change. Being unable to kill most enemies instantly was one of the few main unique aspects of this light novel early plot and it just got traded for generic cultivation baseline that most MC’s have for a artificial power boost that the MC didn’t need.

A honest review from someone who read this story from the beginning and quit the story about six months ago. At the start, this story was mostly focused on mecha with a sorta gamer system added on and that still seems like the overall best part of the story to me. This story start wasn’t really that complex but it had heart and didn’t take itself to seriously in the beginning, so it was a lot more of a light hearted story about a kid loving mecha which seem like one of the main reasons, most people started reading this story in the first place. After the beginning of this story ended, it got slowly weighed down by random things that rarely became interesting again after the first time being shown or they were never interesting in the first place. Anyway I am now going to start talking about one of the main things I dislike most about this story and one of the main reasons I quit this story in this first place. That is the bad investment habits that the author has. There are times when the author make a random choice which can be good or bad and that is very normal thing to do but if the choice is bad or at the very least uninteresting, the author like to double down or even triple down to make it work in story and leave behind the parts that made this story interesting. The best example of this investment sink, that the author like to do is the main female lead of the story. The main female of this story started as a weird fusion of just some of the worst negative starter traits I have ever seen in a female character and she did end up becoming a decent character after a lot of time but the amount of time needed for that to happen was literally insane an even then she still wasn’t a better character then the student, the spy and the childhood love interest who only pop up twice.

Yea this is one of the few times that the author went directly against the characters he Built up and i don’t mind the death but it didn’t fit the story or characters so far. the last three deaths went believable, sorta believable and unbelievable in that order. Truthfully It moments likes this in a stories that makes people quite reading because everyone got a good understanding on how the story should go and to go completely against the grain is really noticeable. Finally the last three chapters were literally pointless and none of the problems would matter if they just died in the Giant space fight were it was understandable, this chapter Literally reminded me of the worst parts of the story to the point were the girl death make less sense even when i wrote this and she wasn’t even my favorite female character. Ps. rick literally tried to kill vex in his face, girly tried to bribe/ seduce without mind control but only one got shot in the head.

At this point in the story, There are so many good combinations of characters that can allow the author to pull of a good harem but i am perfectly find with a league of doom group. Also really wish skull guy was a skull girl so ves would have three different women who would have perfectly fit with his design seed. like G for body, skull for energy, and the one Friday girl who would have been mind to fit With vex’s spirits to make the ultimate machines.

Dislike how much the author is trying to tie vex to the Hexers. Vex Already got more then enough reason to help them win but for some reason, vex’s mother life is randomly tied to state because a very small specialized piece of her spirt is now so smart and strong that it was Capable of becoming self aware and then overpowered every other part of giant ritual.

So vex is going to make his own pantheon of gods, this is going to be Amazing.
