My first question is what is "the curse placed upon the living realm"? I guess the assumption is vampires because they were created by the devil. I don't see Mallory running around killing all of the vampires with a physical weapon (example: a sword). I think it's something more subtle that may take away the "immortality" of vampires and allow them to grow old and die naturally, because living eternally can certainly be considered a curse. How this could happen? I can't even guess. But why does the royal family want her to not exist? Aren't they human? Or have they become vampires so they could "live" forever and stay in power forever? ~ Prophecies are tricky things, and, rarely, is the most obvious interpretation the 100% correct one.
