First off, the talking to animals have actually not been described as one humans can learn. When it was introduced it was mentioned that humans "have their own similar skill", aka, it's not the exactly same skill, they might have subtle differences. So it's not really a good example. Secondly though, and I went and looked up the chapter this was mentioned in so you can check it out, it's chapter 207, when Peter acquired the transformation skill, the system/Vincent explains that there are skills that only humans can learn, skills that only vampires can learn AND skills that both sides can learn, the transformation skill being one of them. So yes, they do exist.

And indeed, we can't say for sure if Quinn could learn it or not as he already had his shadow at the time he got ahold of the transformation skill (which was what my first comment about this was really about). All we know is, Peter can learn it, humans can learn it, and there are skills that both sides can learn, also, so far there's been no mention that there are skills that only vampires but not sub-classes and vice versa can learn (aside from in terms of what the families allows others to learn).

That's not true, it's a "gray" skill that both sides can learn, we're not talking about the earth skill here, that's different. Since Peter could learn it, it's easy to deduce that Quinn could have learned it as well, if he didn't already have one. So far there's been no mentioning that vampires and subs are separated with what they can learn.

I don't really see the charm in bringing the currency of your native country to a different world... then again, Roland hasn't been particularly creative in general, oh well.
