i think what cane and aria have is trauma bond. they shared 10 years together and went through the same torture, which created trauma bond between them.its hard to explain, but 10 years is a long time and people respond to trauma differently. this story only gives glimpses of what happemed, but i dont think people will be sane enough and keep pure heart after traumatizing event like that. after all, it havr been only 1 year after they freed themselves from the slavery
