Man i dont think you gotta put down your story like that. For what its worth, these boring chapters are actually delicous appetizers before the main course. It’s good build up. On a side note though, I do wish for more context on why the last turf war was important and what it meant to the characters. I can kinda infer that its the last hurrah before he graduates and that’s why its important, but some good build up for this part would sound fun to read; and a way to get more attached to your characters. Keep up the good work!

Pretty much like any other cultivation-based novels, just sci-fi. They all have interesting worlds with interesting and unqiue details. Honestly, the way they build their worlds is great stuff. It just a shame and missed upportunity that the the characters lack any development. This Novel starts off great with its universe that gets you curious and hungry to know more. The main characters also appears likeable at the start with his careful concern for his family since that’s relateable. However it is unfortunate that this novel missed many opportunities to further its characters. They all have some significance but are easily discarded. That seems to be a running motif in this novel. Everything is just easily discarded. Characters die and the readers are left not caring about them as much as the related characters themselves. Subordinates are just tools, human lives are easily thrown away, social relationships that could be just aren’t. The novel has every chance to further world building or do something more with the relationships between people. All we get is a main character that you can hardly empathize with as you read because he just becomes just like any other character you see in these novels: cunning, arrogant, greedy, opportunistic, etc. It is the same everywhere. At least when i watch anime, yes there are tropes, but at least i can find them more enjoyable, interesting and more varied. i dont understand why most of the characters in this novel have to be arrogant and greedy, like being a capable personal is all that matters in being human. In retrospect, i keep reading these novels hoping for something better and this one was the last straw, it isnt quite fair, but i find what i read enjoyable enough to care about how it could be better. I want the characters to actually talk and reveal that they are more than just arrogant or greedy or that they have some totally relateable reason for being the way they are. Lastly, as long as youre just reading for the adventure of a cultivator turning op, then this is really great stuff. Otherwise, do not expect to attach yourself to any characters as they are mere passer-bys.

This was probably one of the more comedic chapters. Though i understand that he doesnt mean what he says in what he will do to her, this chapter and the preceding one just cements how much of a douchebag he is. He is described to have a “quick witted, forked tongue,” but all i see is an over powered douche bag that has a personality that is as in-depth and complex as a thin paper plate. Also, why are conversations described as “chatting”? Where’s some real dialogue to get to know the characters. Like come on. The spirits are intelligent and sentient, dont they have information that could act as fluff, world building, or cement themselves as actual characters than mere tools for the main charcter to discard. Great world. Poor characters.
