Jin-ho's birthday being soon was an afterthought, so he didn't do it because of that.
He noped the f out so fast. 😂😂😂
why does this hurt more than the dad's last words. i cant 😭😭😭😭
… thanks for the nightmares, I guess, since I know I'll have them now that I was reminded of that.
I think his HP dropped to 0 before it activated, so there's no way it would go up in level, lol.
It doesn't seem to be below Thomas Andre to ask the same question as Lennart on purpose.
Because the Ruler didn't pour his power into him because his body wouldn't hold up, I suspect. So even if he could use Ruler's Reach/Authority, he couldn't compare to, say, Thomas Andre in magical energy, because his body would just fall apart if the Ruler shared that amount of power with him.
So (financially) strongest family in Korea AND Japan.
Just want to point out, in case people have forgotten by now, narration mentioned Jin-woo was aware that helping the father of someone he saw as his little brother should have been obvious, but that he couldn't be certain what the result would be if he did. It wasn't "I don't want to help" but "I don't know this man's character". If he knew that he wouldn't have to worry about word of his ability to cure Perpetual Sleep Syndrome/Eternal Sleep Disorder, there had been no reason for him to refuse. However, he had never met this man before and all he knew was that this man kicked his son out ("disowning" is not quite right though) and that Jin-ho fought hard not to lose to his brother, meaning that from Jin-woo's POV the Jin-ho's father may not have looked at his son. So all he had was a stranger who he knew as a rich business man trying to buy the cure that he only had 5 bottles of, with no guarantees that people wouldn't try to get their hands on the cure that was extremely limited. If you think about it from his perspective while keeping in mind that he already doesn't want to be in media and avoid too much bother while living a relatively normal life outside of being a hunter so he can take care of his mother and sister, Jin-woo's choice, at the time, was the right one, even if he felt bad for it and knew that Jin-ho would hurt from it later. The stakes were just too high, while it wouldn't be too late even if Jin-ho's father fell asleep. After all, Jin-woo's mother slept for 4 years.
No, an hour in their world is a day in the red gate. he's aware he brought it down quickly and that he was only aware for a short while.
Since red gates bring those who enter to a different world, he would have noticed, yes.
I don't think you should judge those learning English their 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) language. American media is more prevalent, and recognised international English is also largely defined by English vocabulary. This greatly limits the probability of learning any other terminology. Not to mention that there are additional terminology if we add for instance Australian English. Expecting people whose native language/s is/are something other than English to first find out what terms are local and which aren't when the majority of their English learning will be on their own, is rather privileged of you. And, as a translator myself, I can say it's the job of the translator to pick the most appropriate terminology. if a book is to be released in UK, then British English, in the US, then American English, on a site with an international audience, then the most common terminology, unless there is a very specific dialect/accent to be be conveyed. So to ask your question: Probably not. They learn a mixture with American being primary source and international English otherwise being common. Even my British friends get frequently exposed to American/international terms and use those, though they (and I) predominantly use British English.
Is it really necessary to include "proverbial", when we totally get that from context? Maybe I'm just bothered by it because of my occupation, but come on! If it's just to add a word for coins, there are better ways to do it, while it's perfectly fine to omit it.
He would know if he lost the shadow. It appeared where the dungeon had been, and probably hid in the shadows for him to call it back.
Images of wyverns, historically speaking, also include four-legged ones. The line is pretty blurred.
A western dragon, wyvern or simply a kind of lizard with wings… What I can say is that it doesn't sound like a Chinese dragon, that's for sure.
He's usually pretty straight forward (and practical) about stuff like this, so it seems more likely he'd say "your clan will end up like the rest" or something like that if it was a threat?
He had only played a bit of MMO many years before. Doesn't mean that the grade advancement level differing is something that comes naturally. Though somewhat opposite direction, but it makes me think of how people who have only played modern MMORPGs wouldn't understand how FFXI players would choose what direction to face while crafting (or whatever) believing it mattered. It was never a feature, but those who've never played in that era wouldn't sit down with it and assume you have to take what direction you're facing when crafting into consideration.
Only the demons are tainted. The undead don't count as demons, it would seem, so he could extract souls from some of them. He can't store them and would have to get rid of them later, but he could extract them, control them, and then chuck them into the void.
