After all, what if one day he had such a guest? What if his guest ate planets for food? What was he supposed to do? Lex did not have any spare planets on hand to feed hungry guests.

Agreed. The character of Cat annoys me because of everything they let her do. When Cat does something wrong, it's just laughed over and ignored, instead of trying to fix it. Like the food. The stupid thing eats all the food in the granary, and instead of the simple fix of upgrading to prevent this, it is not only allowed, but even encouraged.

Haven't started yet, the stars are for his work overall, but looking forward to it. Many others have already discussed the quality of the author's other works, so I'm only going to touch on his length and the blessed brevity of his works. The author doesn't pad his works, doesn't make filler chapters that just drag the story on. It seems like he has a general plan and sticks to it. His first novel was 1330 chapters, his second just over 1000, yet they felt like a longer story due to the amount he is able to put in each chapter and the excellent pacing.

correlation does not equal causation. in this case, there is a correlation; she was bit and lost abilities. the Dr couldn't find causal factors linking them.

It was an interesting funding method. The investors got a share of profits, and use of a room, as long as the one they wanted was available, or for a larger share, they could permanently reserve a room for their own use and guests that they personally referred.
