His argument is flawed. Even in his own example the early aliens were peaceful only due to a stalemate. There's no reason to think someone of superior strength would engage in diplomacy.

Seems excessively green to me, clearing a part of the land doesn't mean you'll trash the whole place. Living Ewok style is a bit of an extreme expectation. 🙄
