I very much would like to say that you are right, however so far we haven't heard about anything within the game that can increase ones talent by even a smidgen. In that case it is a bit more logical to think the way they do, since there are huge differences between the boosts that the players get. Now granted this should not stop people with D-Grade talent to become successful, but the "real world" is a world that doesn't seem to have any reasonable common sense
