MC's reaction to this interaction was not penned well. I would have expected him to show more frustration, anger, resentment, and disappointment in humans after that charade the other survivors pulled. He almost seems nonchalant to the hostility displayed.

The author is like a collector. He is very determined to collect all Xianxia tropes/cliches and insert them in his novel.

From what I have seen so far, the author loves for the MC to win by the skin of his teeth every single time. This does not exite me for the future battles at all because his opponents would only grow stronger, and every time, the same scenario will repeat. It is going to be excruciating to read unless you are a masochist.

Unwise choise on the supervisor's part. Why would he punish someone by throwing them in the prison when he is in dire need of manpower?

I think the meaning of "isn't a thing" is lost in translation. It might be funny or makes sense in raws but in English, it just sounds weird. There was also another case where the meaning of sentence used previously in the novel was lost in translation - "what kind of toy is this?"

These rank 6 disciples would probably be barely scraping by in terms of sect points and they definitely wouldn't be able to afford buying them in an auction.
