The MC is a psychopath. He could have helped his classmates upgrade their equipment. Instead, he waits for his friends to die so he can loot their corpses. He is such scum. Absolute trash. And the author clearly wants him to become ridiculously OP at the very beginning just because.
Well that's cute of her. The first emperor was called Emperor Shi, right? I'm betting Qi somehow fuses with Shi Yu and sends him to the past. Whereupon he breaks through the legendary rank and leads humanity to fight off the totems. He eventually disappears because he finds a ruin that lets him return to the future.
The story is a good time waster. But the characters have no personality. All party members join within a chapter or two of being introduced. There was only one interparty conflict as of ch 75 and it was very early on. None of the characters have backstories. We got maybe a paragraph total for a dozen characters including the MC. The characters are indistinguishable. They are constantly laughing or buying cake. No range of emotions. Just laughing and cake. Furthermore, despite apparently being a monogamous story, the MC only meets women. The battles have no tension and the combat no meaning. At first, the author described careful pulling as they raided dungeons. Now they just say skill drops like the MC used a skip ticket. It's enjoyable anyways as a SOL time waster but the lack of any conflict or character is a fatal flaw.
I wonder if the Heavenly Humans used Gu's dao fruit to deduce what type of sage position the Heavenly Dao would offer Jiang Lan. He did mention before that their technique is similar to The Unmoved Sage. And since Jiang Lan refused the Heavenly Dao's sage position, it would actually work out well if Yunxiao could claim it and buy Jiang Lan time.
I like how even though Jiang Lan descended to experience the mortal world all of the chapters are about Xiao Yu. You can tell he needs her to indirectly experience it because none of the things actually affect him.
On the other hand, sister-in-law Liu also initially told Xiaoyu to do the laundry in a dry well out of sheer pettiness.
My current guess is someone is trying to sabotage Jiang Lan's enlightenment. Whatever it was hit Xiaoyu with enough force to trigger her scales. So it doesn't sound normal. I guess it could be some kind of common monster but still sounds sus.
He could always sell a few clones.

Yeah. I keep wondering where the original Unmoved Sage is if Jiang Lan can copy their path. And why do the Heavenly Human race seem to have parts of their path as well. Maybe there will be a twist where the original Unmoved Sage came from the Ancient Imperial Palace and is trying to harvest their original world.
