Or second possibility, be a barehanded martial art genius, that refuse to use any devil fruit and instead, develop the Nen of HXH (that also stop the user to have any devil fruit and vice versa) and make a crew of other martial artists, who he'll teach Nen, that have the dream of becoming the absolute strongest in the world.

For a new power for Ace why not Nen, because it's much better than Touki, because of it's flexibility and possibilities, and also because of the good compatibility with senjutsu, and breathing art that can help him reinforce, and developpe his Aura much more. And also making a deal with a Warlock of the world of Dungeons And Dragons to become a Warlock himself why ? Because Warlocks are cool and it's never seen before. Have him go become Ravel's Queen and Isane her only Pawn, it's never seen in any fanfic and totaly logical with his need of money, and he can do a deal with Sona and Rias so that he present persons with really good potential to excuse himself for choosing someone else but in exchange of money, and they'll be the Kendo Club members Muahaha.
