Understatement. A hundred nascent souls who are all a hundred plus years old and have survived this long in a cultivation world, and literally not a single one is cautious, stays back, or leaves. Its not even plot armor at that point, it's intentional stupidity to make his blatantly obvious trap work flawlessly.
This has to be one of the worst translations I've read to date, and I've read quite a lot. Couldn't make it past chapter 10, the choice of words alone is an atrocity to the English language. I think I'd rather rub my balls over a cheese grater than read ~3400 chapters of a novel with an intentionally ruined ending.
Honeslty I like the concept but the mc's senior brother who is the sect leader flat out ruins the novel for me. Such an incredibly forced character. To say he's bad at pill refining is an understatement but the author has created him as a character who childishly and stubbornly refuses to accept that fact, and instead of actual effort/development, it becomes a meme that trashes the novel. The sheer obliviousness to his own failure makes it an absolute joke.
Dropped as of this chapter. The novel had an interesting premise but the guy who was sent back in time from the apocalypse has magically lost any understanding of human greed and evil and now wants everybody to be happy and stop fighting. He keeps calling others idiots but clearly didn't learn literally anything in his past life. This arc alone has turned this novel into an actual dumpster fire. Literal garbage.
Its blatantly obvious the author cut it short because he didn't even mention anything about the system reward for spreading medicine around the world. All this world building, slow cultivation, helping his friends cultivate, system rewards, most recent magical herb that was the only one left in the world, and then outa nowhere "they lived happily ever after". Straight up fucking ruined all positive feelings I had for the novel.
