Not sure how many of you had this thought and I don't know if legion has said anything but do you think this novel might end in a tragedy? Most novels on this site don't but I thought I might put it out there. I wouldn't be happy about it but this novel is just so good either way.
who would have f****** thought that the 2nd leader and Mika where hiding there own agenda. I kinda wish the author would stop treating Quinn like a plot device and more like a character. I'm really sad because I really like this novel, but the author keeps pulling back all of his growth. The fact that he constantly jumps to conclusions and doesn't listen to the people he should trust the most. Even him trusting complete strangers when people have explicitly told him not to. ugh it's just so frustrating when I read these more recent chapters. I know the author is doing his best and has a lot on his plate but I just have to vent. Not sure if other people feel the same. The fact that his companions and side characters have more development than the MC. Sigh I'll still read in hopes of what's to come.
The suspicion I'd leaning towards Cindy or Jim Eno or Moka. Even though Bryce doesn't like the way the vampires rule he wouldn't hurt his own kind to this extent. Since you don't need a high charm to use the second families ability she could have taken both of them by force. However Jim has been around for a much longer time than the current leaders and could have a higher influence skill. Which means the information could have leaked through the 13th family, Royal knights or the first family. This is because the human world was cut off from the vampires the information couldn't have leaked that way. Predictions: - Someone is attempting a civil war with the vampires just like the humans. Most likely Dalki/Jim - Quinn and the first will either fight for a bit before attacking the bloodsuckers mainbase. - Quinn is going to shadoweater a lot of dudes. - The tenth castle is going to be attacked to try and get Erin because she is a dhampir. - The fighting is going to be prolonged because of the towers. With most likely win of the tenth. - Erin may be captured or evolve into the next stage due to the fighting. - Quinn is going to use this situation to push for candidacy of king - More talking and arguments - Quinn becomes king. End of arc Some minor details about Richard and punishers should be in there.
I like how the author decided to confront this issue between the characters and not be a joking **** drama rom com. However, you have forgotten that the end of the world happened, twice for Alex, and the perspective of morals has changed. He has lost much of his emotions and morals as he is willing to do whatever is needed to get his family to survive and have humanity survive. His attitude may change over time as he is less pressured by the overwhelming pressure of having to lead the world to survive. All in all, great story.
gives off a very "world turned into a game" vibe. It is too early to judge authors writing but it has substance and plot progression. The characters stay true to who they are and slowly become more like the types of classes they picked. Overall it's a fun read with necromancy and feels from Emperor of solo play.
