If Boss Pei was listening, more than likely he'll outright reject him and throw him out. This scam just screams a butt-ton of short term profits for Boss Pei if Meng Chang somehow manages to sell the company at a high price.

SUG and the two teams wanna re-enter the GPL? I'll bet there's no way that'll ever happen. The GPL under Boss Pei will be so huge in terms of popularity and profit that even teams that are consistently at bottom would still earn a profit in some other way aside from sponsorships to the team. Rather, more potential business deals/partnerships to the parent companies running the GPL teams, or best of all, a connection to Boss Pei would be more than enough because he's the lucky charm to anyone who gets 'close' to him even though that's nothing but bad luck for Boss Pei lol.

True, he can't sell them at a lower price than what he paid for the GPL slots, the system will never allow it. Only way the system will allow him to potentially sell low is if the slots are put up for auction cause it's all fair game from there. Too bad for Boss Pei though, cause if he does an auction for the GPL slots, the big enterprises (and his 'friends' like Boss Li and Lin Chang lol) that wanna cooperate with Boss Pei and Tengda will most certainly try to acquire a slot at all costs.

These clubs just don't see the long-term benefits of the new regulations. Sure they'll lose out on immediate profits if they were to accept, but long-term they'll be in to potentially gain far more than ever under the standardization of the esports industry. A stable, healthy industry means more companies would wanna invest in something low-risk like the GPL since it'll bring them lots of profits or benefits. As a result, the pie would just get bigger, and everyone stands together to win (or in Boss Pei's case, lose lol).

With how much even the entry-level Tengda employees earns in terms of salary (inc payrises) + other huge benefits to go alongside it, I wouldn't be surprised if most, if not all of employees managed to secure a bank loan or rent a decent house in Jingzhou. If Tengda was based in Shanghai or Beijing rather than Jingzhou, then yes, I can definitely see Boss Pei moving his employees to Sloth Apartments in this case due to how expensive it is to live in those cities.

Out of all of Boss Pei's projects, this would probably be the only project he'd be willing to expand on even though it'll stab him hard like all the other projects. He cares enough for the people that he'll establish Sloth Apartments in other cities, even though doing so will bring him a huge amount of popularity to Tengda and thus, much more profits flowing to other Tengda industries.
