i will be honest it was more a visual thing and focus on her increased abilities than anything weird, her martials souls fused more with the body. i'll be honest, it doesnt feel right to do that. the start is a hot mess in terms of pacing, because i just started out writing back then, and was just writing whatever came to mind, the weekly schedule is for consistency and quality, as uni is quite busy. Maybe I will consider it someday if more people come to think the same as you. as for this question, because Karni doesn't necessarily know what would suit him. I mean, I personally dont remember all the Spirit Souls that appear, and look them up or make my own.The teacher was giving him options based on what Karni described and wanted. He was a guide. I dont think it seems like the other guy chose the snake for Karni. Karni decided. Though I could have alternitavely written that Karni would go to the library, look at the books for Spirit Souls, the ones available for him. So on and so forth. But why would he do that, when he can just... get recommendations from a teacher from Spirit Pagoda. Look, i saw the other comment too. And I dont think these parts dont make sense. I edited them multiple times and never thought so. And no, i am also not solely defending my stuff here. Because these stuff so make sense. On the other hand, I have done quite a few mistakes in other early chapters, and have gone editing them to make them flow better and more understandable to what I wanted to convey. This is not one of those things, though i welcome the discussion.
