this seems forever ago, lol. i rarely check my inbox. was trying to top up my coins and saw your reply. yes, it's still in my backlog. I haven't continued reading yet. because the basis at the beginning point of the story is very refreshing and interesting, i give you that. i remember it's being kinda new/refreshing rathen than the usual tropes. But the author being insistent on his fault is really off putting honestly at that point i was reading, made evident by his reply and him liking all the comment supporting his mistake. i got flashbacks and annoyed all over again reading all the other comments, lol. Like i commented before, it's a forced narrative poorly written and executed regarding this issue. if it isn't an issue, there is no reason why so many of the readers got ticked off. Not able to lie, but somehow, the author executed it as he was forced to tell the truth? like he can't control his speech/thought? That's two different things. It's like the character becomes a different person with regard to how he is reacting in the chapter, in comparison to the character's previously established persona. Ultimately, it's a forced narrative that is poorly written, where we can see the author's intent and attempt to make things interesting(not wrong, very good) and not the character's organic persona reacting at the moment(forced execution and out of character). kinda like plot armour but worse. This usually happens when the author fails to separate himself from the character. It is his character to write. but he needs to think like the MC is an actual person. For example, there are 3 thugs in an alley. How would Batman react to the situation? then how would Superman react? same author, but the characters' actions would be different. the moment you fail to do that, then your character becomes out of the established characteristic and becomes platonic where all your characters gonna seem the same. But the idea and premise are definitely interesting. gonna cause some interesting plot twist, im sure, with the restriction, being an MC that can not lie. the world building is good too. That's why even though I dropped it , it's still in my library. I'm planning to come back to this if i got extra coin or nothing else to read. its small mistake, that most rookie author do at one point or another, so i was hoping he gonna improve later. i will give it a go again if you say it's at LOTM level now. lol.
