Agreed. This assault seems kind of rushed. They didn't even wait for Anthony, the only one capable of tackling a tier 7. Not to mention he is the only ant that has been down there and his scouting would have been invaluable: it's not like the Colony to attack a city they haven't even scouted... not at all. Plus for the first in a while, I am really bothered by the chronology. Didn't Vibrant get to tier 5 roughly when Anthony was evolving to tier 6 ? If so it's much too soon for her to already reach tier 6, just impossible ! And the other thing is... Anthony has been down there for no more than a day (just mentionned in the last chapter) and he was surprised by the invasion. So does that mean the ants organized the assault of the city, rallied the troups and created those massive kilometers long ropes in less than 24 hours ? As I said, this is way too rushed.
Bishop or Orator would be the most logical choices given Beyn's fanatic personality. But didn't that translator use pheromones with her hand already ? (the one who helped the writer from the monthly gazette when he arrived at Renewal) Does that mean she already is an antspeaker ? But Beyn implied he was the first to evolve so...
...which I absolutely don't understand. Some skills he has to dedicate large amounts of time to level up, but for this one he just has to walk on walls or ceilings when walking around. He may be a little slower, so maybe not in emergency situations like during the siege, but when touring the colony as he did with Brilliant for example, it wouldn't cost him a single second...
Haha, great chapter ! I really thought Vibrant would manage to slip through, but alas, the colony now has a second non-ant traitor... This rule of "8 hours of torpor a day" might need to be revised though, as more and more ants reach tier 4 or higher and they surely need to rest less often. But hey, as long as it's fun to read...
Funny chapter, good change of pace, but this cult is a bit too human-like I think. Too much waste, which is highly unusual for ants... Walls embedded with dark mana cores ? Waste of cores ! Such a long way to get to the cult chambers ? a hidden door ? Waste of time !
I have to wonder though, Anthony didn't make any comment on how disgusting his raw biomass was. So not like him to lose an occasion to complain ! And he obviously remembers about the itching, so... Did he finally get used to it or did the author just forget about it ?
