Ah yes, inconsistent translations
I don't get why these authors start out on an interesting premise and then drive the novel straight into the ground. All the free chapters are a fun read, but then it jumps straight into a whole arc about a "fox" woman in a broth, which will no doubt spark misunderstandings and frustration. It would be fine if it was done and over with quickly, but the author continues to stretch that storyline for some reason. A lot of it is also just word count filler. True shame, I enjoyed the initial chapters :/
So much of this chapter has been nonsensical word count filler. Hopefully this isn't how the rest of the novel progresses.
Starts out well, becomes rinse and repeat trash filled with word count filler. The author clearly had no direction planned for the novel because after the concept is introduced and a few interesting scenes play out, we fall into the same dry pit of terrible cliches. One such cliche is the "oblivious to his own power MC". He's scared sh*tless because of forced scenarios and illogical reasoning. Almost every chapter also has so many filler lines of npcs talking about his ascension, that it becomes frustrating. Not to mention the realization that the author is treating the story as a cash grab and you as a sheep. Subpar novel without really much of a storyline.
I'd like to pay my "respects" to the translator/editor
Maybe the idea is that in a Empire type setting, the Heavens do not control your life, the King does. Just talking out of my a*s though, so who really knows.
Bro, what? Did you not just say in a previous chapter that talents were random and hard to come by whereas cultivation can happen again?
Webnovel always does this. For the last 30-50 chapters of a novel, they'll keep them locked behind privlege for 1 month+ to milk as many people as possible, and then start releasing those chapters out of privilege again after that. Classic scum practice.
Bro, you literally told her last chapter that you wouldn't treat her badly.
Pros and cons, my a*s. It's complete sh*te, just like most of the other updates. "Rules masking" is pretty pointless at this point, more simulations would allow for faster increase in battle power.
