bruh his mum experimented on her own kids, why couldnt she be content with normal bloodlines? she lusted for power. secondly like someone mentioned, Lex would have died eventually if he didnt become a cultivator becos of the brain tumor and throughout his life his family never checked on him, didnt even know about his bodies condition. im more annoyed that his grandfather managed to flee.

The only issue I have is theres way too many fillers, like theres a good 10 chapters dedicated to rebuilding a flooded road which has NO bearing on the story. Events such as that make the book feel more slice of life than a survival story. I also think its unrealistic that the mc who was dirt poor and forced to be a child labourer has no resentment to the government. I also find it unrealistic theres no classism or discrimination. The world buildining could do with more. oh and mc aint got a suspicious bone his body.. hasnt faced anyones scheming. everythings smooth which is unrealistic. basically i have yet to see the mc struggle for anything and that would be find if we werent getting chapters on repairing a damn road.. -.- its okay to pass time but dont invest your expectations, could do with a lot of improvement, but i have seen much worse and aint dropped it yet altho I wont be following closely
