he said he wanted dragons as believers and yet he kills the first dragon that is free for the taking... and besides, it seems like killing creatures is not efficient taking into account that he could just place them in his divine world then they could upgrade and be loyal to him, increasing his believers and their variety.
the story telling is hyper focus on the MC's POV. i just hope it doesn't become like End of the Magic Era where the other characters doesn't seem to exist even though they are on the scene and only brought up to get their reaction on what the MC is doing
the creative works that directly uses historical figures in such a cheap way is just plainly jarring. using their accomplishments and history is fine but to just flat out use their name without any other purpose other than the grandeur that their name possesses is uninspired and lazy. well, we're still in the initial part of the story, the world might be related to a version of Earth, I don't know.
the trend of not noticing the potential danger that came with the power up is just plainly stupid. i understand the excitement and elation that comes with the sudden surge of strength but how can one disregard that alarming notification when the only one with capability to do that is a Great Mage atm
yeah. i probably skimmed but just because the land is fertile doesn't mean trees will start to prop up. there was no mention of other cultivators just short of the level nor any scenes of them breaking through that realm. if that is the standard of the foreshadowing, then the story heavily relies on readers imagination and deductive reasoning.
the logical gaps might be small but it has a enough to make these annoyances to dissatisfactions for the novel.
at this point, i don't really care why he is still in solitary. no further mentions of it was made or did i just forgot anyway, there really is no more justification for him to be in solitary. and him just staying there should rise suspicions among the higher ups.
the author stated that the medicine will only help the James live "some more days" and yet, after burning his lifespan even though he is already dying, he can still live for 3 years. damn. you can't just rely on the magic, you gotta show some details so that the flow wouldn't be off.
